“Promising Unlock” for the iPhone 4S discovered

Most of our folks spent their thanksgiving weekend very happily. However spent your weekends doing something pretty much like hacking the heck out of the iPhone. Everyone will be waiting and wishing for an iPhone 4S carrier unlock has something to be thankful for.

It’s not quite a done deal but iPhone dev team tweeted out about a “promising unlock” for iPhone 4S had been discovered after a bit of Turkey-fueled hacking.

His tweet also goes to confirm that this unlock works only on iPhone 4S but not the iPhone 4.suggesting that it relies on a hardware-level exploit that went overlooked more challenging for Apple to patch post- manufacturing. Let’s wait for it…

iPhone 4S can unlock discovered without any hardware or software changes

A developer has seemingly discovered about, how to unlock the iPhone 4S (repeatedly AT & T version only) without any software or hardware changes. The unlock will help you in using your iPhone 4S on T-Mobile’s network also you have a T-Mobile SIM card. Before you are going to start, first cut down your T-Mobile SIM card to match AT & T SIM card’s size. We are working on it to get confirm this works, but move forward and give the following guidelines a try:

1.      Insert original carrier AT&T SIM card

2.      Dial 611 for AT&T customer service hotline and drop the call

3.      Turn on Airplane Mode

4.      Take out AT&T SIM card

5.      Insert T-Mobile SIM card

6.      Make sure WiFi is off ( also tap on ‘Forget this Network” to make sure it doesn’t connect automatically later)

7.      Switch off Airplane Mode and iPhone will search for network. This is followed by the Apple splash screen appearing.

8.      Activation Required will be displayed on the screen

9.      EDGE network will activate automatically – notice the ‘E’ on the top left corner of the screen

10.  Wait for about 20-30 seconds and turn off the phone

11.  Turn on iPhone and the same Activation Required screen will be displayed

12.  When you see one signal bar, tap on Use Cellular Connection

13.  Eject SIM card

14.  Activation Required screen will be displayed the second time

15.  Insert SIM card

16.  Unlocked

It seemingly works only on iPhone, which are locked o the US network AT & T, even though it works on all the existing models of Apple’s handset: iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 3GS.

Apple starts selling unlocked iPhone 4S in US….Here are the Prices.

Waiting to buy an iPhone 4S with no contract attached on it? Then it is great news for them who have been patiently waiting for unlocked phones. From November 12, 2011 onwards Apple US store is offering you the Contract-free, pristine new unlocked iPhone 4S’s.

Either the prices are not bad or the versions. Check out starting at $649 for the 16 GB version. A 32 GB iPhone 4S will cost you $749, while the $849 for 64 GB. Before you step into the Apple store kindly know about it there is a small hitch that the unlock iPhone 4S will works only on supported GSM networks, such as AT&T. when you travel internationally, you can also use a Micro Sim card from a local GSM carrier.     The thing is it doesn’t work with CDMA carriers such as Verizon wireless or sprint.

In allied to locksmith news, Sprint has started Sim- locking on all iPhone 4S handsets purchased from November 11 onwards. All devices brought and activated before this date will remain unlocked but anyone can guess how long this last will.
