How to Unlock your iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS on iOS 5 using Ultrasn0w 1.2.4

You can unlock your iPhone 4 and iPhone 3Gs yourself using the ultrasn0w. It’s easy to do. Just follow the steps and. Just follow the steps and you will be done.

Ultrasn0w 1.2.4 does not support new baseband. Users running on unlocked iOS 4.X.X can update to iOS 5and keep their unlock. Here is a tutorial to work with Ultrasn0w 1.2.4 to unlock.

The baseband supported are:

*01.59.00

* 04.26.08

* 05.11.07

* 05.12.01

* 05.13.04

* 06.15.00-> Check the note below if you are running on this baseband.

If in case you are running on 01.59.00 in your iPhone 4 you will have to preserve your baseband in  order to unlock on iOS 5. Follow this tutorial to do so.

Steps to unlock

Step 1

Make sure that you have jailbreaken your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 which you like to unlock. If not jailbreak it first.

Step 2

After jailbreaking go to Cydia and then to Manage and then to Sources .

Step 3

Click on Edit and add this: http://repo666.ultrasnow.com

Step 4

Once you have Added the repo search for ultrasn0w in Cydia and install it.

Step 5

After a tethered boot your iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 gets unlocked.

Note: If you belong to the 06.15.00 baseband you have to make sure that you disable location services when you see the iOS 5 for the first time. You can enable it later. Be careful while unlocking and avoid using Stock IPSWs.
