iPhone 4S SIRI – Going Ahead of the Type and Tap Scenario

When iPhone 4S was launched last week, the major attraction that made people go dumbstruck was the SIRI app. A voice recognition system that obeys your commands. SIRI has been developed with AI. Its understanding of the use evolves and it keeps in mind the earlier commands given to her. It’s capable of understanding, learning and adapting to her user. This particular app is a revolutionary attempt to make way for verbal commands and abandon the type and tap theory forever.

With SIRI, you need not type on a physical or even a virtual keyboard. All the work can be done merely by speaking. You can actually talk to the robotic assistant and ask her to send text messages, schedule meetings, make notes, check weather and so on. The SIRI app was developed with an intention to make computers more intuitive and understanding. She will initially raise her IQ and as of now functions properly only in the US since it needs time to upgrade depending on the language and the accent of different countries.

Apple has plans to do this soon and also boost up her reasoning and decision making skills. It’s been noticed that as of now SIRI is utilized only for 90% of the time whereas the tapping and touching works go as usual with getting occupies most of the time. But experts predict that eventually with the increase in the intellectual capability of SIRI, all the virtual and physical keyboards will have to make way for this unique app since your iPhone will start talking to you. This raises the question whether the QWERTY keyboard or the touch screen keyboard will become a thing of the past.
