What is iCloud?


iCloud is the much hyped, sensational app of the all new iPhone 4S. It stores your photos, videos, documents and much more and lets you wirelessly push them to all your devices automatically and effortlessly. This makes it amazingly easy to access just everything on your devices that you use every day. iCloud automatically stores your content so that it’s always available to your iPhone, iPod, iPad, Mac or PC. It even keeps all your data, emails, contacts and calendars up to date without the need of any kind of synchronization or management.

iCloud also gets you 5GB of free storage once you sign up for iCloud. If you feel that the storage is not sufficient, you can even purchase a storage upgrade straight from your device. iCloud has applied itself to every new Apple device and the initial set up process is also very simple. When you update your iPhone, iPad, iPod, to iOS5 it gets integrated with iCloud. This makes your content available anywhere no matter which device you are using. The basic steps in setting up an iCloud are:

  • Make sure that you have a device that runs on iOS 5
  • Turn on iCloud.
  • Customize your settings by tapping on the settings icon and select iCloud.
  • Enable automatic downloads by tapping on the store option on the settings on home screen.

iCloud is believed to be the latest and the most innovative features that have come up in recent times on an iPhone. Transferring data has not been this easy with any smart phone.
