Past few weeks have been really busy for the technology giant Apple with the release of the latest, lucrative iphone 4S, the brand new iOS 5, a couple of new iOS apps, iCloud, updated Mac OS X and the iLife software.
While the official numbers are not yet confirmed, the sales records clearly mention the popularity of the next generation iPhone 4S. The excitement was evident with people queuing up in front of the Apple stores to get a glimpse of the wonder phone and own one too. AT&T and Sprint Nextel, the major carriers have also declared that they had the biggest single day sales record yet.
This week also saw the launch of iOS 5.A new revolution with almost 200 features in hand for the recent upgrades of iPhones, iPads and iPods. This was followed by the release of iCloud, a new technology.
The new iPhone 4S has topped the sales records with over 1 million preorders in one single day…a whopping figure indeed!! Last year the iPhone 4 had received 600,000 preorders. With the release of the iOS 5, people found it almost difficult to install it due to the heavy overload of the Apple servers. They even encountered some serious problems like missing data and required troubleshooting to get it done correctly.
The expected sales did effect the Apple shares with the company stock closing at $422.This was an all time high hit for Apple.
