iPhone 4S is the fifth generation Smartphone from Apple. It has featured with a new mobile operating system iOS 5. Well when millions of Apple users had waited for iPhone 4S activation. “S” stands for what in this iPhone 4S? Does it stand for Speed, Siri, or Steve?
Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook announced that S in 4S was not a tribute for the legendary Steve Jobs but to Indian telecom minister Kapil Sibal. CEO Tim Cook said, "Steve in his final days had been thoroughly inspired by the minister's zeal in making obsolete tablet technology reach millions of Indians who didn't know any better. In Sibal he saw a little bit of himself - the same smugness, the glib talking ability and staying foolish".
Sibal is the one who launched the world’s cheapest tablet named “Aakash”. Apple loyalists however, were not amused. Stephen, one of the millions of losers who stood in line for two days outside an Apple store just to buy the iPhone 4S said, "I only wanted to buy thinking it was named after Steve! Next you'll tell me that because it answers all my questions the phone's software is named after Siri Siri Ravishankar! WTF?"
Tim Cook also said that Apple was planning to launch a new variant of the iPhone 4S for the Indian market built from reinforced steel; incase one wanted to randomly beat the shit out of people. "There has been a lot of demand for this from states such as Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. We are planning to call it the iPhone 4 Sene."
