Finally a Native Gmail App for iPhone

Gmail is the popular one in mailing services, ever the original iPhone has released in 2007 there is a lack of this app. There was a talk that Apple wasn’t going to allow another mail app to their device and then it was a anxious association between Google and Apple. Later, still, other Google iPhone apps had come but not the official Gmail app.

Google is on the edge of launching their native Gmail app but in fact it has already submitted the review and waiting for its approval. Once it get approved it will be out soon. It is the great news to have it on our iPhone for couple of reason one will be that Gmail is awesome as it is popular and comfortable to use and the other is those who had already seen the app tells its cool implausible.

Google has a nice mobile web version of Gmail optimized for iPhone only for some time. Here, the bug is finally it is pushing all notifications. Conceivably the biggest issue with using it through the iPhone’s native mail client is that Gmail is not Push-enabled. Fair enough, you can hack it to work through exchange but here you may lose other functionality such as ability to star messages via flags.

The native Gmail app will probably to bring other functionality as well priority inbox and one-click starring messages. Here, the other possibilities include some of following stuff that Google is about to roll out for Gmail proper such as contact icons, deep searching functionalities and better threading. We may see even Google+ integration also. But the strange thing is Google doesn’t have the great track record with iOS apps, there will be often full of bugs again they have indicated this as good one.

The native Gmail app although appeared stunning in design, it lacked basic elements like push notifications and users faced errors while logging into their accounts, it crashed often and users reported numerous bugs. So Gmail app has removed from iTunes for now because there is a bug in the app which broke all notifications. Let’s hope that Google gets the bugs fixed in the Gmail app and returns to the Appstore soon, hope we don’t want wait for long time before it released again.
