Google rolls out updated Gmail iOS app with many features
Google has just started rolling out an update to the Gmail app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with a few new welcomed features. First off, users now have the ability to set a custom signature for messages as well as a vacation responder. Both of those new features will be available via the gear icon at the top of the app’s new menu. The update also includes support for nested labels and the usual “bug fixes and UI improvements”.
A new Scribbles feature allows you to open a canvas, draw a picture or sketch with multiple colors, brush sizes and line elements, and attach it to a message within Gmail. scribble is available now in both the Gmail iOS app and Gmail mobile web app. Another notable and highly requested change is a new notification sound on iOS 5, making it easier to tell when you’ve received an email
Google also mentioned in their blog post that they are continuing to work on some of the most requested features from users including multiple login support, banner notifications, and a “send as” feature to send mail from multiple accounts within the app.

Finally a Native Gmail App for iPhone
Gmail is the popular one in mailing services, ever the original iPhone has released in 2007 there is a lack of this app. There was a talk that Apple wasn’t going to allow another mail app to their device and then it was a anxious association between Google and Apple. Later, still, other Google iPhone apps had come but not the official Gmail app.
Google is on the edge of launching their native Gmail app but in fact it has already submitted the review and waiting for its approval. Once it get approved it will be out soon. It is the great news to have it on our iPhone for couple of reason one will be that Gmail is awesome as it is popular and comfortable to use and the other is those who had already seen the app tells its cool implausible.
Google has a nice mobile web version of Gmail optimized for iPhone only for some time. Here, the bug is finally it is pushing all notifications. Conceivably the biggest issue with using it through the iPhone’s native mail client is that Gmail is not Push-enabled. Fair enough, you can hack it to work through exchange but here you may lose other functionality such as ability to star messages via flags.
The native Gmail app will probably to bring other functionality as well priority inbox and one-click starring messages. Here, the other possibilities include some of following stuff that Google is about to roll out for Gmail proper such as contact icons, deep searching functionalities and better threading. We may see even Google+ integration also. But the strange thing is Google doesn’t have the great track record with iOS apps, there will be often full of bugs again they have indicated this as good one.
The native Gmail app although appeared stunning in design, it lacked basic elements like push notifications and users faced errors while logging into their accounts, it crashed often and users reported numerous bugs. So Gmail app has removed from iTunes for now because there is a bug in the app which broke all notifications. Let’s hope that Google gets the bugs fixed in the Gmail app and returns to the Appstore soon, hope we don’t want wait for long time before it released again.

Gmail official iOS app has released and then pulled back from Appstore

There is an option based on device that iPhone users can have fun in one click access to their camera to take a shot, while in iPad version you can enjoy with split screen views to read emails and to check inbox concurrently. The app although appeared stunning in design, it lacked basic elements like push notifications and users faced errors while logging into their accounts, it crashed often and users reported numerous bugs.
So Gmail app has removed from iTunes for now because there is a bug in the app which broke all notifications. Google said that “Earlier today we launched a new Gmail app for iOS. Unfortunately, it contained a bug which broke notifications and caused users to see an error message when first opening the app. We’ve removed the app while we correct the problem, and we’re working to bring you a new version soon. Everyone who’s already installed the app can continue to use it.”
Let’s hope that Google gets the bugs fixed in the Gmail app and returns to the Appstore soon, hope we don’t want wait for long time before it I released again.
