Gmail official iOS app has released and then pulled back from Appstore

An official Gmail app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is now available in the Appstore. Gmail is one of the popular mailing services in the world, it has lot of features and now it has arrived to your iOS devices. It works with the notification systems built into iOS devices alerting with a sound and pop up if you desired. A new search feature will allow you to find older emails. Gmail’s threaded conversation concept on your iPhone will allow you to rapidly scan through many conversations to find the one you want to read and respond to - a real time saver.

There is an option based on device that iPhone users can have fun in one click access to their camera to take a shot, while in iPad version you can enjoy with split screen views to read emails and to check inbox concurrently. The app although appeared stunning in design, it lacked basic elements like push notifications and users faced errors while logging into their accounts, it crashed often and users reported numerous bugs.

So Gmail app has removed from iTunes for now because there is a bug in the app which broke all notifications. Google said that “Earlier today we launched a new Gmail app for iOS. Unfortunately, it contained a bug which broke notifications and caused users to see an error message when first opening the app. We’ve removed the app while we correct the problem, and we’re working to bring you a new version soon. Everyone who’s already installed the app can continue to use it.”

Let’s hope that Google gets the bugs fixed in the Gmail app and returns to the Appstore soon, hope we don’t want wait for long time before it I released again.
